Three Saint Francis University students have been awarded $1,000 Intrepid research grants from the School of Arts & Letters for their significant academic, creative, or service projects.To be eligible to receive an Intrepid grant, a student must be a junior or senior and have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.25. The student is also required to write a proposal that outlines the purpose, goals and costs of the project.

Saint Francis University students had the recent privilege of participating in a fifth-year anniversary celebration of the study abroad program in Ambialet, France. Joining in the celebratory open house were among the 22 students currently studying in Ambialet:

The 2013 Pennsylvania Statistics Competition hosted by Saint Francis University, in Loretto, PA, received a total of 524 posters from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The total included 67 posters from grades Kindergarten through third, 200 posters from grades fourth through sixth, 185 posters from grades seventh through ninth, and 72 posters from grades tenth through twelfth.

Saint Francis University's Pennsylvania Mu Chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon Mathematics (KME) Honor Society held initiation ceremonies on Thursday, January 31, on the Loretto campus. The evening began with a prayer by chapter member Dr. Pedro MuA-A?o, professor of chemistry and Great Lakes regional director of KME. Twelve Saint Francis University students in the American Sign Lanuguage (ASL) program recently participated in a service learning trip at the Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf (CCCD) in Knockpatrick, Jamaica. The school houses 100 Deaf Jamaican children, ages 5-21.
