SFU Enactus team mentors job-seekers through Uwork pilot project
Through Uwork, our students gained real-world experience while offering a needed service in the community. These students provided training in career development knowledge areas such as responsible social networking, non-verbal/soft skills, self-esteem, resume and cover letter development, and professional writing and composition.

Amy O'Hearn won Sister Brigid Brady Graduate Award
Saint Francis University student Ms. Amy O'Hearn, has won the Delta Epsilon Sigma $1,500 Sister Brigid Brady Graduate Award. Ms. O'Hearn has developed practical and research skills to serve people in need while maintaining a QPA exceeding 3.8 in the University's highly rigorous Masters of Occupational Therapy program.

Members of the National Society of Leadership and Success must engage in special leadership training prior to their induction. This spring, 26 Saint Francis University students were inducted into the society, totaling 57 members in the 2018-2019 academic year.

George Ryan is SFU's Engaged Student of the Year
Saint Francis University presented George Ryan with the Engaged Student Award for his tireless dedication to projects of the Center for Watershed Research & Service. The "Become that Someone" Engagement Awards were held on April 15, 2019 to recognize distinguished community partners, faculty, staff, and students who have gone the extra length to be engaged with the community.

SFU's Greek Life Honor Societies are exclusive to only those who meet a specified criteria and are affiliated with a Greek-lettered organization. Only a maximum of 15 students may be inducted in to the Order of Omega each year.

Phi Lambda Psi Sorority Donates $1,800 to Dream Go On
The women of Phi Lambda Psi sorority hosted a spaghetti dinner in the JFK Student Center that generated $1,800 in proceeds to be donated to Dreams Go On: Therapeutic Horseback Riding located in Hollisdaysburg, PA. This was the 10th Anniversary for the spaghetti dinner on campus and was also the most amount of money raised since the first event in 2009.

The Saint Francis University Science Center has a new display hanging in the ground floor hallway. The display, curious as it is, proudly showcases a traditional mark of a pilot who has completed their first solo flight: a shirttail, cut from the back of the each Aviation student's shirt.
