Student-Athlete Mentors Host Read Across America Week
Loretto, PA (03/06/2020) — Saint Francis Student-Athlete Mentors (SAMs) hosted Read Across America Week last week with the Penn Cambria School District and the Saint Michael School in Loretto. SAMs, along with other SFU student-athletes, attended 5 schools in 4 days. Penn Cambria Middle School, Intermediate School, Primary School, Pre-Primary School, and St. Michaels in Loretto.
New this year, our student-athletes read three books by author Jon Gordon (The Energy Bus for Kids, The Hard Hat for Kids, & Thank You and Good Night). All three books shared great messages centered around leadership, gratefulness, overcoming challenges, staying positive, and how to be a great teammate!
Thanks for all of your support and special thanks to those teams/student-athletes that were able to volunteer!
