About the Niche Methodology
Niche updated its methodology for the annual Best Colleges rankings this year adding an economic mobility index to gauge how well students can improve their economic standing after graduating from a given school based on students receiving Pell grants, the net price of tuition for low-income students and the median salary for those students six years after graduating. Several other academic, social, athletic and campus-related factors are considered in the rankings.
